This isn’t a sit-and-listen camp — it’s a hands-on experience where kids become scientists and engineers. During each session, students will:

This camp is designed for rising 2nd through 6th graders, or children ages 7 to 12. It is a great fit for curious kids who love to build, create, experiment, and explore how things work.

Not at all. Each session is designed to be approachable for beginners while still engaging for kids who already love STEM activities.

Classes are held on Tuesday mornings in July from 9:00 AM to 11:30 AM.

All sessions will be held at Source The Space in New Cumberland, PA.

No. Each session is designed as a standalone experience, so families may register for one session, several sessions, or all four.

Yes. Families who register for all four sessions will receive a 10% discount.

Yes. A 25% sibling discount is available.

Each session is capped at 20 students to keep the experience hands-on, engaging, and small enough for individualized support.

Yes. This is a drop-off program. Parents or guardians will sign students in and out at the beginning and end of each session.

No supplies are needed. All class materials are included. Students should simply come ready to learn, create, and have fun.

Yes. Please send your child with a peanut-free snack and a water bottle for our short break during class.

Students will have opportunities to do both. Some activities are individual, while others encourage teamwork, collaboration, and creative problem-solving.

The camp is led by Jessica Purcell, founder of Thoughtfully Sustainable. Jessica created this series to give kids a hands-on way to explore STEM through the lens of sustainability.

This series combines hands-on STEM learning with sustainability in a fun, creative, and meaningful way. Students will build, experiment, problem-solve, and take home projects they made themselves.

Sessions are designed to run indoors, so sessions will be held rain or shine!

Photos will be taken during camp for promotional purposes. Any photo permissions and release information will be included during registration. You may opt out of photos taken of your student(s).

Cancellations made in advance may be eligible for a refund. Because space is limited, refunds may not be available for cancellations made less than 24 hours before the start of each session.
